Island Breakout Portugal takes place in Albufeira, located in the heart of the Algarve
Wristbands will be collected in a location in Albufeira You will be emailed full details of collection points and times much closer to the event, upon full completion of payment.

Our first event takes place at 8pm on Thursday 18th June 2026 so we would recommend you to book a flight landing in the morning or early afternoon, so you can have enough time to travel to your accommodation, get checked in, changed, and head to collect your first wristband, and then travel to our first event.
The official currency used is Euro, which you can acquire at the post office, bank, or Bureau de Exchange.
Faro Airport is the closest airport to Albufeira, roughly a 35–40 minute drive from the main square and event locations.
You will have to make your own arrangements, but the easiest option is taxi (uber) you can also take train and bus, or rent a car.
